Made from a self milled tree, this table and bench arrangement was a custom order for a private client’s outdoor space.

Red gumtree is a very hard wearing timber for the outdoors that requires a yearly refresh to keep its vibrant redish colour.

Inspired by asian traditional joinery assembly, this chair plays with the physicality of its structure. Interlocking every essential element in a timeless piece of art.

Lacquered solid timber, only glue, no screws.

The idea for this chinese stool came to me while browsing through my traditional asian furniture book. I wanted to build something small but tricky enough to challenge me.

Made from solid ash and using traditional joints, the stool has no screws and is finished with a clear linseed oil.

Matching the dark timber accents of the flooring and furniture, this 3 themed fitted sideboard responds to the natural dividing lines of the space. Two double door units frame a central double drawer unit.

This staircase and its handrail are the focal point of the entrance hall. Overarching the double storey atrium, it gives the space a solid link to the upper floor, while playing with the effect of shadows and light created through the roof light and the handrail beams.
